Zane's 3rd Birthday

Zane had a week full of birthday celebrations. Zane and his bestest buddy, Agustin both turned 3 last week. Agustin on May 2nd and Zane on May 4th. We celebrated at his pre school class during their 'snack time'. Zane felt very special and received a TON of gifts. (They are actually still coming in. That doesn't happen in the States.) Lighting the candles....

Zane's pre school class singing happy birthday to Zane!

Zane and his classmates semi eating the carrot cake muffins.... at least they licked off the cream cheese frosting. I was a bit counter cultral by 'making' the birthday cake (cupcakes) and having juice instead of soda. I just couldn't bring myself to give all of that sugar to 20 children at 10:30 in the morning, however I think I will just send the store bought cake and soda next year.

Zane LOVES the slide at school!

Bubbles with Tia Laura....

We had a birthday party for Zane's church & neighborhood friends on Thursday evening. We had a FULL apartment, yet everyone enjoyed themselves. One difference is that when the guests arrive they give the birthday boy their gift and they open it up right then and there. That makes it fun and a living room full of new toys.

Ivana, Zane's babysitter and our friend came to celebrate with us.

Birthday Cupcakes....they were a hit!!
Yes, Zane and Agustin are holding hands in anticipation of lighting the birthday candles. Too cute!
Zane and Agustin playing with their bubbles on the balcony.
The Roja family: Veronica, Jorge, y Candela. Veronica and Candela attend Jesucristo Para Todo Church with us.
Our friends, Andrea and Laura hanging out. Yes, David was at the party even though there are NO pictures as evidence. We had a great time. One thing we LOVE about the Argentina culture is that they LOVE to celebrate....
