Argentinean officials said deaths from the Swine Flu had more than doubled to 337 from 165 two weeks ago, which puts the country second only to the United States with 353 confirmed deaths. -Tehran Times 8/8/09
However we also have a contact in Santiago del Estero, Argentina where the swine flu has really hit hard. The contact said that the government has kept quiet on letting people know just how bad it is. The contact, who works in a hospital, says that at least 10 children are dying every day from the Swine Flu. They have asked not to be identified because they would lose their job.
TRAVELS THROUGHOUT THE MIDWEST 
When some of your summer highlights include a 4-H fair, an ice cream social, and a regular diet of corn on the cob and watermelon…, you know that you have visited the Midwest! We have driven almost 5,000 miles in the last 5 weeks, but our primary goal hasn’t been to visit family and enjoy America’s heartland. Our objective has been to build a ministry support team that will enable us to serve in Argentina as soon as possible. Our traveling has allowed us to present the ministry God has for us to numerous individuals and churches. Almost every Sunday has been spent speaking at a different church service. During the week we have had countless meetings with other church leaders and friends. We understand that not everyone will be able to partner with us financially, but we value every opportunity to share about the vision God has for us in Argentina.
