Waiting for Departure
If you haven’t heard yet, our goal of arriving in Argentina by the beginning of February is very unlikely. We are disappointed, but are trusting that God’s timing is perfect and that He has purpose for us in the U.S. while we are here. At the same time, we want to work hard and be faithful in our support team building. We trust that God will honor our faithfulness. So what is keeping us from going? Well, we are at 91% of our monthly support goal. Reaching 100% is our biggest barrier. We need people to partner with us financially on a monthly basis. We also need one time donations for a separate start –up budget that covers initial costs. (See breakdown below) So what will we be doing in the coming weeks? We are taking care of loose ends, following up with churches and individuals interested in our ministry and finding creative ways to connect with people about what we are doing. We are so close to reaching our goals! God is good and has been blessing us in numerous ways during recent months.
Pray that we can take off soon!!

Partners Vs. Supporters
One area in which we could do a better job of communicating is the area of informing people about what it means to be a ministry “partner”. Some might think that it is the same as being a supporter. A supporter gives finances and resources to fund a ministry. This is great, but the idea of partnering in a ministry is an even deeper level of commitment. Partners may provide the finances needed to support the missionaries, but they also journey along with them in their ministry. They understand that they are a part of the ministry team. This kind of attitude prompts prayer, keeping up with the happenings of that ministry, building a relationship with the missionaries, and sometimes it means serving alongside those missionaries in a foreign country, like Argentina!
